About T'estimo Events
With love at the center of it all
T’estimo Events was founded by Mateo Carvajal and Alberto Balvaneda, husbands, creative directors, and partners in both life and business.
The name T’estimo, which means “I love you” in Catalán, has always held a special place in our relationship. It represents far more than love. To us, it symbolizes trust, resilience, and choosing one another every day. When it came time to name our company, there was never another name that felt more meaningful.
In 2020, we founded T’estimo Events with little more than a $65 logo, a shared dream, and the determination to build a better future. What began as a leap of faith has grown into a luxury event decoration company serving clients throughout Southern California, creating celebrations that are as meaningful as they are beautiful.
For me (Mateo) this journey has always been about more than events.
I’ve known what it feels like to be underestimated, to start over, and to wonder where I belong. Those experiences shaped the way I see my work today. I believe every person deserves to feel seen, valued, and celebrated, because sometimes a celebration is about so much more than the occasion itself.
That belief is at the heart of everything we create.
Every installation is designed with intention, not simply to transform a space, but to create an experience that reminds people they matter and that life’s most meaningful moments deserve to be honored.
Looking ahead, my dream extends far beyond beautiful events. I hope T’estimo becomes a place where talented people, especially those who have been overlooked or underestimated, are given the opportunity to grow, create, and believe in what is possible. If our journey can inspire someone else to take a chance on themselves, then we’ve accomplished something far greater than creating beautiful celebrations.
Everything we do begins with love. Not just as a feeling, but as a way of serving others. That’s what T’estimo has always meant to us, and it’s the legacy we hope to leave through every celebration we have the privilege to create.
